ICDS Supervisors of Kulgam,Kupwara without Salary appeals LG to intervene

Srinagar, Nov 23 (KNS): Supervisors working under social welfares department of integrated child development scheme (ICDS) from Kupwara and Kulgam on Monday complained that they are without salaries from last six months and the authorities were unmoved.
ICDS supervisors, of District Kulgam and Kupwara told Kashmir News Service that their salary is withheld from last six months. “We are made to suffer on daily basis and despite being regular employees of the department we are treated worst than daily wagers,and we are living in starvation” they said.
They said Supervisors are the employee who even worked 24×7 even in pandemic for all the programmes under ICDS like Poshan Abhiyan,PMMVY and Beti Bachavo Beti Padavo,Ladli Beti etc.
They also said despite working tirelessly in the department” Irony is that working with such a spirit in the field supervisors salary are pending from last 6 months.
They appealed Lt. Governor and concerned authorities to look into the matter and release the pending salary at an earliest. So that we will not come to the roads for strikes and stop our daily work routines. (KNS)
