Hurriyat (M) expresses grief over demise of Majeed Wani, Adv Makhdoomi

Srinagar, Apr 10 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (M) Friday expressed deep grief over the sudden demise of veteran pro-Movement and senior Hurriyat member Abdul Majeed Wani of Hawal Srinagar.

According to statement issued to KNS, APHC (M) paid tributes to the deceased for his lifelong contribution in a peaceful struggle being carried out by the amalgam.

“Late Abdul Majeed Wani dedicated his whole life for upholding the honor and dignity of the people of Kashmir as a true representative of their emotions and sentiments. He was a man of conviction who even served jail terms but stood firm on his stand for people”, it said.

Party also expressed grief over the demise of Advocate Peer Hafizullah Makhdoomi, who was a close associate of ‘Shaheed-e-Hurriyat’ Khwaja Abdul Gani Lone. The amalgam paid rich tributes to Late Makhdoomi and recalled his contribution towards the formation of Hurriyat in 1993.

It extended its condolences including on behalf of its house incarcerated chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq , to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls. (KNS)
