History is testimony to the role of PAGD constituents, not opposed to their efforts but cannot trust their intentions in view of historical betrayals:AIP

Srinagar, Nov 20 (KNS): Incarcerated Er Abdul Rashid lead Jammu Kashmir Awami Itehad Party on Friday clarified that they haven’t entered into alliance with any party however they are not against the efforts of recently formed PAGD.
In a statement issued to KNS, Party Spokesperson Sheeban Ashai ingeminated the stand of Jammu Kashmir Awami Itehad Party vis-a-vis Gupkar Declaration. He said, “We are not against the efforts of Gupkar Allaince but history is a testimony to their heart wrenching treachery. We have not forgotten how several generations of Kashmiris lost everything thanks to the shameless rigging of 1987 elections, Who can forgot how the entire political struggle of Late Lone Shb and Aman Ullah Khan was thrown down the drain when People’s conference chief openly termed Narendra Modi as his elder brother and became a part of the unholy BJP-PDP Allaince. At least we cannot absolve PDP and Mufti’s of the colossal political backstab of bringing the filth of Indian polity, RSS-BJP to our doorsteps. How can anyone forget the blinding of our children in 2016. How can anyone forget how every nefarious design of BJP was backed by this very Mehbooba Mufti lead PDP back then. At least we don’t have any hopes on them but still to keep BJP at bay we are of the opinion that wherever Awami Itehad Party doesn’t have a candidate or a credible local independent voice is not present people should vote for PAGD.” Party outrightly rejected the gesture of Jammu Kashmir Apni Party. Party leader added that there is no need for Apni Party to not field candidates opposite AIP in DDC elections. They can save their sympathies for Modi and Amit Shah. We don’t need such kind of sham support from stooges habitual of conniving with those occupying chairs of power in New Delhi against the interests of people of Jammu and Kashmir. Ashai once again questioned the criminal silence of top PAGD leaders over the illegal detention of AIP Supremo Er Abdul Rashid, he ridiculed the statement of PAGD candidate from Mawar who recently commented that post wining the elections they would persevere for Er Rashid’s release. He termed such political posturing as worst form of political gimmickry. Ashai questioned what is stopping top brass of PAGD, Farooq Abdullah, Omer and Mehbooba Mufti to speak a word for release of AIP Supremo? Are they conceding that people’s mandate for Er Rashid and JKAIP in the form of one lakh votes from North Kashmir’s Baramulla Lok Sabha seat in 2019 have shaken the blue eyed boys of New Delhi to the core. Their criminal silence exposes their abbhorent collaboration with New Delhi and Modi, Ashai added.(KNS)
