Handwara, 4 May (KNS): A condolence meeting to pay tribute to Colonel Ashutosh was organised by Handwara Sanathan dharam today. The condolance meet was presided over by Maharaj Krishan Pandita. While paying tributes to Colonel, Pandita said that "he was a Philanthropinist, loyal to his work and caretaker of the poor families". Pandita extended his sympathies to family of Colonel especially his widow, mother and daughter.
Colonel Ashutosh, Major and three forces personnel lost their lives in encounter in Handwara yesterday. Two militants were also killed in the gunfight.(KNS)
