Srinagar, Apr 23 (KNS): Handwara Police on Thursday submitted charge sheet in respect of case FIR No. 281/2019 of PS Handwara under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
According to police statement issued to KNS, the FIR pertained to the incident dated 26.10.2019 wherein a lady was apprehended at a Naka with threatening posters of militant outfit LeT and other incriminating material at Market Handwara.
“The lady was according booked in a case under FIR No. 281/2019 of PS Handwara under relevant sections of law”, Police said and added, “After conclusion of investigation the charge sheet was filed before the competent court by Handwara Police u/s 20, 38, 39 UA (P) Act and substantive offenses thereof subsequent to obtaining necessary Government sanction for prosecution under UA(P)Act”.
It also said that the charge sheet has been filed against Haseena Begum wife of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat of Sheeri Baramulla for being a member of militant outfit LeT and providing support to the said militant organization. (KNS)
