Srinagar May 30 (KNS): Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has felicitated people of the state especially Kashmiri pandit brethren on the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheerbhawani.
In his greetings message, Hakeem Yaseen , while congratulating the Kashmiri pandit community on the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheerbhawani , has said that the annual religious festival also called as Zeistha Ashtami , epitomises the centuries old rich traditions of communal harmony , composite culture and brotherhood of the people of Jammu and Kashmir . He said on Mela Kheerbhawani the people of the state , irrespective of their religious affiliations , greet and hug one another to express their mutual love and respect .
Hakeem Yaseen has hoped that the auspicious occasion of Mela Kheerbhawani would be harbinger of peace and prosperity for the Jammu and Kashmir. He said Kashmiri pandit community was an integral part of the " Kashmiriyat " - hallmark of our high traditions of patience , compassion , love and secular ethos. He said kashmir , the paradise on earth - is incomplete without the presence of Kashmiri pandits hoping that migrant Kashmiri pandits would sooner or later return to their homes and hearths peacefully with full dignity and honour.
