Awantipora, Dec 23 (KNS): Awantipora Police along with 42RR and 180 BN CRPF today said they busted a associate network of proscribed outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad involved in grenade lobbing incidents in Tral and Sangam area of Anantnag District.

The arrested terror associates have been in contact with Pakistani handlers and have targeted security forces by lobbing grenades upon security forces in recent past, police statement issued to KNS reads.
The arrested persons have been involved in pasting of threat poster of election bycott in Tral area, it added.
The arrested persons have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Bhat son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Larow Tral, Mohd Amin Khan son of Ghulam Hassan Khan resident of Handoora Tral, Umer Jabar Dar son of Mohd Jabar Dar resident of Wagad Tral, Suhail Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Bhat R/O Dogripora Awantipora and Sameer Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Mohd Lone resident of Darganiegund Tral, Rafiq Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Ahad Khan resident of Handoora Tral.

"Incriminating material including explosive substance has been recovered from the possession of the arrested persons .Case FIR No. 99/2020 and 109/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered against them in Police Station Tral," police statement said. (KNS)
