Srinagar, May 4 (KNS): Reacting to the decision of the Congress President to bear the rail transportation of Migrant Labourers, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir today described the decision as great and timely, indicative of her serious concern for the Labour Class.
JKPCC President G.A. Mir has congratulated Sonia Gandhi for the initiative to bear the rail transportation of Migrant Labourers, who were stuck-up in different states due to lockdown and said J&K PCC will follow the directions in both letter and spirit.
The decision of Congress President was also indicative of Centr’s being ignorant and negligent about the wellbeing of the Labour Class, who were desperate to reach their native places, Mir said.
The Centre was doing just lip service to people on all counts, Mir said and slammed the Indian Railways for adopting indifferent attitude to the migrant workers, whose contributions to the developmental process in the country, cannot be ignored.
It was very unfortunate and shameful to observe that Centre Govt could bring back people from Foreign Countries, but did not ensure timely help to stranded poor Labour Class, who also deserve the equal treatment, Mir said. in a statement issued to KNS.
