Govt should provide oxygen support to home isolation patients in JK: Kadfeen

Srinagar, June 23 (KNS) Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Tuesday urged the government to send oxygen support to those who fall ill in home isolation during the ongoing COVID 19 crises in Jammu and Kashmir.
Kadfeen in a statement to KNS has highlighted the need for providing all requite medical support to the people in their homes in case of emergency.
According to the Congress leader the number of COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir has crossed 6000 and scores are in their homes facing many diseases due to the pandemic. As hospitals are overcrowded, said Kadfeen, government must devise a mechanism to provide medical support to people in their homes. He said that there has been the concern that many of the ill patients in their homes have oxygen levels falling suddenly and they require the oxygen immediately.
Kadfeen said that oximeters should be given to those who are under home isolation and that special helplines should be dedicated so that patients can call on these numbers in case they have their levels dipped. “It should be followed with the presence of a medical team that can provide an oxygen concentrator to the affected person and if the need arises, the patient can be shifted to the hospital,” said Kadfeen.
