Govt adopting anti-youth approach in regularizing daily wagers in JK: Kadfeen

Srinagar, Sep 23 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Wednesday urged the government to address the growing concerns of daily wagers who were years ago promised regularisation of their services on priority.
In a statement issued to KNS , Kadfeen termed it an extremely worrying trend that the regularisation of more than 60 thousand daily wagers has been thrown into the back burner by the present dispensation that otherwise claims to have been doing everything to empower the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that in spite of the assurances given to these aggrieved daily rated employees by the popular government in the past, their issues continue to remain unaddressed with official machinery least moved over their plight. “These daily wagers are given peanuts against the wages. The only thing which keeps them going is the hope of getting regularised. However, with each passing day, the government seems to be sadistically dashing their hopes and making them suffer in more ways than one,” said Kadfeen.
He added that it is questionable what is stopping the government from resolving the issues pertaining to the regularisation of the daily wagers in Jammu and Kashmir. “Even when these youth have submitted all the requisite information to the government on time, the delay tactics are acting as a major spoilsport in the entire scenario. The need of the hour is that the government adopts a holistic approach in resolution of these problems,” said Kadfeen in a statement here.(KNS)
