Govt.’s latest Darbar Move order set to plunge people into crises: Kadfeen

Srinagar, June 17 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Wednesday flayed the government over its decision to fragment the government departments set to become operational at both Jammu as well as in Srinagar.
Kadfeen said that the Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered that 19 departments will function primarily from Srinagar secretariat and 18 from Jammu secretariat. “This is bizarre and confusing to the core. How could people from Kashmir deal with the crises that will emerge once they have to deal with the department which is based in Jammu and vice versa. Is it a Darbar move or just another example of mis- governance which is prevalent in Jammu and Kashmir at present. This order issued by the government is beyond the reach of reason. It must be rolled back or else this Farman will only create chaos and confusion all across,” said Kadfeen.
He added that the government decision to keep the both secretariats operational at Jammu as well as Srinagar will serve no purpose and is bound to cause severe hardships to the people as they have to travel through the treacherous terrains of Jammu- Srinagar highway to get their grievances addressed. “For example, as the Tribal Affairs department will function from Jammu secretariat, how will a person from Kashmir get his/her issue addressed? The only option is that people have to move from pillar to post. This is the height of non- sensical approach,” Kadfeen asserted. (KNS)
