Govt. cannot undermine medical fraternity’s sacrifices: Kadfeen


Srinagar, June 08 (KNS) : Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Monday expressed concern over the severe risks to which the medical fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir is being exposed by the authorities with least protection provided to them.
Kadfeen in a statement issued to KNS highlighted the role the medical fraternity including the senior doctors and paramedics are playing amid the prevalent COVID 19 crises. He said that these frontline warriors deserve appreciation and kudos from all corners of the society.
Kadfeen further underscored the need for the society’s saner voices to come forward and raise issue of the safety of Jammu and Kashmir’s medical fraternity. He said that there are disturbing reports coming in from various corners, particularly from the country-side about how ill equipped are the medical teams to deal with the Coronavirus threat and its subsequent outcome.
He maintained further that the field staff is not being provided with the adequate protection gears which in turn is not only endangering their lives but is putting at risk the precious lives of their families including their children. He cited the recent example of Dr Naveed Nazir who has been tested positive while earnestly serving the people at the forefront.
He demanded that people from the medical fraternity must be provided with all requisite facilities so that their lives aren’t exposed to severe risks and they are protected on priorit (KNS)
