GDC Uri students protest, demand online exam

Srinagar, Aug 29 (KNS): Student of Government Degree College Uri on Saturday protested against college authorities and demand conduct of online examination.
According to KNS, scores of students protested against college authorities by writing letter of protest to different officials and compiled anti-college poetries. They were demanding that there examination should be conducted online when online procedure is being followed all over India after Covid-19 outbreak.
Students alleged that college authorities are playing with their career and pushing them to the wall from last one year.
“Everything is disturbed, nothing is functioning as normal. We have not been taught a single chapter since last year”, students told.
They appealed authorities to conduct online examination as the practice is being exercised across the country since pandemic hit India.
Meanwhile J&K Students Movement (J&KSM) expressed solidarity with GDC Uri students and requested LG Sinha led administration to intervene into the matter before it is too lat. Association alleged that college authorities are forcing students to protest in Press Enclave Srinagar. (KNS)
