Ganderbal Police Conducts Public Darbar, Seek Public Support for Conduct of Peaceful Yatra, Eradication of Social Evils


Ganderbal, June 30 (KNS): With an aim to reach out masses and strengthen police – public correspondence, Ganderbal Police on Tuesday organized a Public Darbar with senior citizens of different communities at District Police Office Ganderbal. During the meeting, public cooperation was sought while acting upon Covid-19 guidelines and particularly for the eradication of social evils.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), DySP Umar Rashid (JKPS) along with SHO Ganderbal PS Inspector Khursheed Ahmad and DO Nagbal SI Waseem Gull attended the Public Darbar. The meeting was attended by representatives of transporters, traders, Masjid Committees from several areas of the district.
During the meeting, police officers sought cooperation from general public in adhering guidelines to restrain the spread of Covid-19 and in eradication of social evils to make the society peaceful.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal Khalil Mohammad Poswal, at the occasion sought contribution of these representatives of different communities to make peaceful conduct of Shri Amarnath Yatra which is going to start from July 21st to August 3rd. SSP requested them to impart moral education to younger generation and prepare them to play a constructive role for the upliftment of society.
The participants, during the meeting, highlighted various issues of public importance related to civil administration after which police officials assured them to take up these issues with concerned quarters for early redressal.
People of the area however appreciated the step of local Police for their outreach to public and supporting hands in the area during pandemic and bringing crime rate down in the district. (KNS)
