Handwara, June 06 (KNS): The fumigation drive was carried out in Villagam area of Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Saturday by Block Development Council (BDC) Villagam and Block Medical Officer (BMO) Villagam.

According to BDC Villgam Mohammad Yaseen Shiekh the drive was carried out at various places in the area to disinfect the areas. He said that all the government offices of area will be fumigated in coming days as a precautionary measure to get saved from the deadly pandemic.

He further said that the initiative has been taken to strengthen the current efforts for the betterment of COVID-19 Management in the block.

Meanwhile BMO Villgam appealed people to follow the guidelines strictly given by the administration. He stressed upon maintaining social distancing and using face masks to keep the pandamic away. (KNS)
