Kangan, May 28 (KNS): Following a positive case of COVID-19 reported few days ago from Fraw Gund area of Ganderbal district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal on Thursday declared the area under Red Zone.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the order issued by DC Ganderbal in this regard stated that there would be no inward and outward movement of any person from the village declared red zones and the people would stay in their homes to break the further chain.
“For the of safety and wellbeing of general public , Apaerpor Fraw has been declared as Red Zone while as Herpur Fraw has been declared as Buffer zone”, reads an order issued by DM Ganderbal.
The order further reads that Naib Tehsildar Gund, Mohammad Maqbool has been nominated as Administrator of Red and Buffer zone and has been directed to ensure supply of essential commodities as per laid down protocols in the villages. (KNS)
