Former minister Vakil salutes docs, health workers for their fight against COVID-19

Srinagar, April 11 (KNS): Senior Vice President J&K Peoples Conference and former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil today commended and appreciated the work of doctors, Nurses and other health workers leading the battle against COVID-19.


In a statement issued to KNS, Vakil said the Doctors and other Para medical staff are the  real soldiers who are fighting an unknown enemy for our safety of lives. They deserve appreciation, encouragement at this crucial juncture as they leave no stone unturned in making every effort to save the lives of the People affected. The doctors and paramedical staff are working efficiently, after knowing that they are at risk while treating the Coronavirus patients, the statement issued to KNS said.

Recent attitude of D C Bandipora with the medical staff is unbecoming, condemnable and unacceptable and govt must take serious note of it and ensure that this type of attitude is not at all repeated in future.
"It is the time to appreciate the good work of medical staff and salute them for their work. And not to humiliate them," Vakil added.

The former minister said, "Let's only pray for each other's good health and well-being but also reaffirm our gratitude towards all those doctors, nurses, medical staff and healthcare workers who are bravely leading the battle against the COVID-19 menace," Vakil added

Vakil hailed SMC Srinagar headed by Junaid Matoo for playing an instrumental role, working around the clock to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. Peoples Conference is extremely proud of efforts and initiatives to keep our Srinagar city safe and healthy, it said (KNS)
