Forest employees injured in attack by timber smugglers

Srinagar, July 15 (KNS): An attack by timber mafia has left forest protection Force (FPF) employees injured in Wadder Bala Rajwar in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday .
According to the officials of forest department, a team of forest officials was dispatched to the higher reaches of Rajwar forests following an input that timber smugglers were felling down the forest trees.
As soon the team reached the spot, timber smugglers attacked the forest employee and thereafter fled the scene.
In the attack an employees received Injuries and was taken to nearby hospital where he got five stitches.
Hospital authorities identified injured as Ahsiq Hussian and said that the condition of injured persons is said to be stable.
Meanwhile in this regard police has registered a case and initiated investigation in the matter.
DFO Langate Abdul Hameed Malla have condemned the attack on employee and said such things won’t be tolerated at all (KNS)
