Forest department seizes 108 CFT illicit timber in Magam


Handwara, Sept 19 (KNS): Forest department on Friday evening seized huge quantity of illicit timber from forest area of Krumhoora in forest range Magam, Handwara.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said forest officials have received specific information regarding the illicit timber in the area and team from Control room Magam and Forest protection was sent to the area who on spot seized 108 CFT timber.
A forest official confirmed the development and said strict action will be taken against involved persons.
The overall operation was going under the directions of Range Officer Magam Rashid-ud-Din Pandith. He reiterated that no one will be allowed to damage the green gold in the area and assured strict action will be taken against the guilty. (KNS)
