Srinagar, April 05 (KNS): A massive fire broke out in Gugger Pati forests in Zaloora, Zaiger of forest division Kupwara on Sunday afternoon leaving dozens of trees destroyed.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), fire engulfed in Gujjar Pati compartments of forest division Kupwara in north Kashmir.

Locals said that despite fire engulfed in forest divisions, the officials of the department didn't bother to visit the spot.

They said that officials concerned were informed soon after fire broke out in the range but unfortunately they are yet to reach the spot.

When KNS Contacted Chief Conservator Forest North Circle Irfan Rasool, he said men has been pressed into service to stop the fire.

He further said that due to dry weather the fire have engulfed in forest division Kupwara. (KNS)
