Sumbal April 03 (KNS) : Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs
conducted a major market checking with the aim to check the quality and prices of various products in Sumbal area of North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Saturday . 

According to kashmir News Service (KNS) The inspection team comprising officials of  Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs checked various establishments in the market and realized fine from erring shopkeepers in the town.

This was aimed to check the overcharging and quality related issues of various items sold in the market. 

Taking strong note of the complaints, the FCS&CA has launched a massive inspection drive to curb over, black marketing and profiteering.

The team conducted inspection of various business establishments including vegetable, fruit sellers, poultry, mutton sellers, Kiryana, Bakery, LPG distributors at Sumbal market and RS 1000 were fined from traders under various provisions of legal metrology laws. (KNS)
