Srinagar, Nov 27(KNS): Octogenarian member of Mirwaiz Family, Moulvi Ali Muhammad Jan, who was the elder brother of Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and the uncle of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, passed away today after a brief illness.

The deceased Moulvi Ali Muhammad Jan, resident of Kursoo Rajbagh was the grandson of Mirwaiz Moulana Ateequllah Shah and the elder son of Moulvi Muhammad Amin.

Several National conference party Leaders including Ali Mohammad Sagar,Mubarak Gul, Dr Mustafa Kamaal, Nasir Aslam Wani and Dr Omar Abdullah Conveyed Condolences to Dr Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq on his Uncle's death.

National conference Patron Dr Farooq Abdullah also conveyed condolences on his and party's behalf to Maulvi Umer Farooq and his family.

Meanwhile Head of Jamiat Hamdania said that, He was a pious, noble, kind-hearted and a man of character who spent his life in a much humble way.

"I pray to Almighty Allah to rest his soul forever in eternal peace and give strength to Maulvi Umer Farooq and his
family to overcome this unfathomable loss",he added(KNS).
