Family create rukus before authorities after 25-year old daughter tests Covid-19 postive

Handwara, June 03 (KNS): Days after an elderly man tested positive for Covid-19 in Teerina Village of Mawer Handwara, his daughter also came positive for the noval coronavirus on Wednesday.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), as authorities collected swab samples of contacts of elderly man after the report of the elderly, his 25-year old daughter tested Covid-19 positive.

Reports said that as health team visited the residence of Covid-19 patient to took him away for isolation purpose, the family of the girl refused to send her into isolation covid establishment and created ruckus in the area.

Later on Tehsildar Langate Mohammad Ramzan along with medical team have reached the spot and by the help of police after hours of struggle they managed to shift the victim to Covid hospital Kupwara.

Tehsildar said that the patient has been sent to Covid hospital Kupwara and her six family members have also been put under administrative quarantine at Langate.

Meanwhile Tehsildar appealed locals to cooperate with the administration while fighting the deadly pandemic. (KNS)
