Srinagar, Apr 09 (KNS): Several Kashmiris who are stuck in New Delhi’s Jamia Masjid area Thursday warned if authorities will fail to take any concrete measure for their return, they along with their families will hit Delhi roads.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), they said since 21 days of lockdown was enforced across India, they have been stuck inside with having no food, water and other essential commodities.

Comprising of students and other laborers, they said we are in complete distress as no body from state or centre is responding to our pleas.
“Despite repeated efforts to contact officials in Kashmir and in New Delhi, nobody bothered to reply us. We are about to die. We have nothing to feed”, they said.

They warned if authorities will fail to take any concrete measure for their return, they will hit the roads of Delhi.

“We will hit roads now, as we have to die either by staying inside or coming out. Our families in Kashmir are in pain. We have no option to protest against the apathetic outlook of government”, they said.

Meanwhile several parents whose wards have been stuck in Bangladesh due to strict lockdown enforced in the entire country have appealed authorities to bring students back to their families.

They said from last one month the concerned families are crying and wailing but authorities didn’t utter a single word for their return. They also said there are almost 400 Kashmiri students who are still far away from their families amid current uncertain situation which left parents to suffer. (KNS)
