Tral (Aripal), July 14 (KNS): The residents of Syedabad-Pastuna village in Aripal tehsil of Tral have expressed resentment over the delay in drainage work & sought its completion.

A group of locals in the village have said that the drainage work was earlier started, which continued for some days and later halted again.

They said that major portions of the main road are still lacking drainage system, which need to be taken into consideration, and work shall be started before the macadamization.

One of the locals has said that there was dire need to construct drainage system on main portions but authorities stopped work midway and left residents dismayed.

He further said that process to macadamise the main road may be started soon, "but without drainage system, the road will no longer be valid"

The residents have demanded immediate intervention of authorities in constructing drainage system in and around Pastuna village. (KNS)
