Srinagar, October 10:(KNS) Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal on Saturday impressed upon Divisional administration Kashmir to ensure round the clock facilities to devotees during the annual Urs Observance of Hazrat Sheikh Noor Ud Din Noorani (RA) at Charar-e-Sharief.

Kamal in a statement to KNS, said the shrine is thronged by thousands of devotees throughout the year but the rush of the devotees rises exponentially during the Urs observance days hence making it imperative for the government to step up basic civic amenities and other security measures at the shrine. “The shrine is the epicenter of faith of people and is thronged by devotees from across the valley and other places across J&k,” he said.

Kamal said Reshis spearheaded a mass social movement in Kashmir following the teachings of our patron saint Sheikh Noor Ud Din Noorani (RA). “These great men besides achieving higher stations in the realm of spirituality also educated common masses in their native Kahmiri language about the various facets of religion and spirituality. An Alcove of great sages, saints and erudite personalities, the people of Jammu and Kashmir bears the distinction of having a social life, which is deeply imbued with the teachings of such Reshis,” he said.

The administration he said was duty bound to ensure hassle free Urs observance by providing round the clock transport facilities, drinking water and electricity supply at the shrine and the adjoining localities as well.(KNS)
