Bandipora, June11 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Ravinder Kumar Thursday warned of strict action against the persons who have encroached state and Kahcharai land in the district and asked the revenue officers to ensure the land is retrieved at earliest.
Deputy Commissioner said this during a spot inspection around the banks of Wullar lake after complaints about encroachment of state land during pandemic. He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh , Tehsildar Bandipora Rouf Iqbal and other senior officers of the district.
Mr Kumar directed the officers to act tough against encroachers and retrieve the land as soon as possible. He said strict action will be initiated against the persons who tried to take advantage of the ongoing lockdown by encroaching on state land.
He said the revenue officers have already been directed to identify the encroachments at various places and process of retrieving the land has been initiated already.(KNS)
