Srinagar, April 21(KNS): Encounter broke out between government forces and militants in Malhoora village of Shopian in south Kashmir.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), joint team of security forces including 55RR, CRPF and Shopian Police jointly launched Cardon and Search Operation (CASO) following the inputs of presence of militants in the area. while reaching the suspected spot, the hinding militants fired indiscriminately upon the search party resulting the exchange of fire from both sides.

Meanwhile IGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar confirmed the encounter to KNS in the area. (KNS)
