Dy Mayor visits Makhdoom Sahib Shrine


Srinagar, May 27 (KNS): Deputy Mayor, Parvaiz Ahmad Qadri, today, visited shrine of Makhdoom Sahib and its adjacent areas and took stock of sanitation works being carried out by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) there.
During the visit, he was informed about the prowling of dogs in the area, particularly on the stairs leading to the shrine. It was informed that these dogs not only irritates the visitors but also creates unhygienic conditions in the area.
He also reviewed the sanitation works being carried out by SMC in the area. He was informed that the sanitations works are carried out on priority in the area, as the area is witnessing huge rush of people throughout the year.
Deputy Mayor directed the concerned officials to install the gates at the entry points of the shrine to check the entry of stray dogs inside the shrine area.
He was accompanied by the concerned Corporators, officials of SMC and concerned SHO.
With regards to the construction of Community Toilet Public Toilet (CTPT), the Deputy Mayor was informed that the work is in final stage and will be thrown open for public soon (KNS)
