Srinagar, Oct 17 (KNS):Awantipora police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a drug peddlers and have recovered contraband substances from his possession.

According to police, Officers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Awantipora intercepted one person moving in suspicious circumstances near JK bank Panzgam. He has been identified as Gulzar Ahmad Bhat resident of Ladermud Awantipora.

During checking, officers were able to recover 4Kgs of Charas from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Awantipora where he remains in custody.

Accordingly, a case FIR No.148/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and investigation has been initiated. (kNS)
