Srinagar, 29 June:(KNS) Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday greeted the people on the birth anniversary of the Hazrat Mir Muhammad Hamadani (RA), illustrious son of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA).
In his message Party President paid glowing tributes to Hazrat Mir Muhammad Hamadani and praised his efforts towards acquainting the people of Kashmir with the universal messages of brotherhood, equality, amity enshrined in the holy Quran and the teachings of Holy Messenger of Islam (PBUH). “Like father like son, Hazrat Mir Muhammad Hamadani (RA) took immense pains in the socio-political and economic development of Valley. His teachings had a great impact on people, who venerated him for his erudite and pious persona. He purified the hearts and souls of people and removed traces of faithlessness from them. He imbued the hearts of people with faith and guided them towards the path of penance and self actualization. During his sojourn in Kashmir, the valley witnessed chain of events in the shape of economic transformation and eradication of societal evils of all hues. Prior to his departure, Mir Muhammad (RA) gave Khat- e- Irshad to our Patron saint Hazrat Sheikh Noor Ud Din Noorani Alamdar e Kashmir (RA). I pay my earnest tributes to the great personality with all humility and urge the younger generation to imbue their lives with the teaching of such great men like Hazrat Mir Muhammad Hamadani (ra),” he said.
Party’s General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, district president Srinagar Peer Afaq Ahmed have also paid glowing tributes to Hazrat Mir Muhammad Hamadani (RA) on his birth anniversary urging people especially the youth to follow the teaching of such great Sufis.
Meanwhile Member Parliament (Baramulla) Mohammad Akbar Lone and a delegation of party functionaries led by Provincial Vice President Muhammad Syed Akhoon visited the residence of Former MLA Homeshalibugh Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi at Laram Ganjipora in Kulgam to extend their condolences with him on the demise of his mother. The visiting delegation expressed unison with Larmi Sahib and his family in their hour of grief. On the occasion the visiting party delegation offered Fatiha for the departed soul and prayed for eternal peace to her soul. The delegation comprised of provincial Secretary Showkat Ahmed Mir, district president Srinagar Peer Afaq Ahmed, Syed Tauqeer Ahmed, Syed Muhammad Hussain, and GN Tailbali.(KNS)
