Sagar presides over condolence meeting at party headquarters

Party rank and file express solidarity with Chaudhary Ramzan in his hour of grief

Srinagar, October 13: (KNS) Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Tuesday expressed profound grief over the demise of Haji Chaudhary Ghulam Ahmed, father of senior party leader and former Minister Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan.

While expressing grief over the demise of Chaudhary Ghulam Ahmed, Party President said, “The news of the passing away of Choudary Sahib’s revered father Chaudhary Ghulam Ahmed sahib has saddened me. I express my unison with the bereaved family in particular Choudhary Ramzan Sahib. I pray to Almighty to grant highest stations to the deceased in Jannah and much needed fortitude to the grief-stricken family members. The deceased was a pious person, he will be remembered for his highly endowed personality,” he said.

Party Vice President  Omar Abdullah in his condolence message expressed grief over the demise of Chaudhary Ramzan’s father, prayed for peace to the deceased, and much needed strength to the bereaved to bear the irreparable loss. “I express my sympathies with the bereaved family in particular Choudhary Ramzan Sahib. I pray for the highest echelons to the deceased in Jannah,” he said.

Meanwhile Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah visited Handwara and participated in the Namaz e Janaza of Chaudhary Ghulam Ahmed. Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Sharief Ud Din Shariq, Showkat Ahmed Mir, Mir Saifullah, Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, GR Naaz, Mushtaq Guroo, Kwaja Yaqoob Wani, Syed Rafiq Shah also participated in the Namaz e Janaza.

Party’s members of Parliament Muhammad Akbar lone, Hasnain Masoodi have also condoled the demise of Choudhary Ghulam Ahmed, prayed for peace to his soul and strength to the bereaved. The duo has in particular expressed solidarity with Party’s Senior Leader, former minister and Legislature Chaudhary Muhammad Ramzan.

Meanwhile a condolence meet, presided over by Party General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar was held here at party head quarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar. The participants offered fateha to the deceased. Party functionaries Muhammad Shafi Uri, Abdul Rahim Rathar, Mian Altaf, Mubarak Gul, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Nazir Gurezi, Sakina Itoo, Shameema Firdous, Qamar Ali Akhoon, Mir Saifullah, Irfan Shah, Ali Muhammad Dar, Dr Bashir Veeri, Muhammad Syed Akhoon, Kafilul Rahman, Altaf Kaloo, Javed Dar, Peer Afaq, Ab Majeed Bhat Larmi, Ishfaq Jabbar, GM Mir, Imran Nabi Dar, Salman Ali Sagar, Dr. Sajad Shafi Uri, Sara Hayat Shah, Sabiya Qadri, Reyaz Bedar, Ahsan Pardesi, Irshad Kar, G H Rahi also condoled the demise of father of Ch Mohammad Ramzan and expressed solidarity with him.(KNS)
