Dr Abdul Majid's Death : Baldev Singh Raina Chairman PHDCCI condoles demise


Srinagar, Jan 6( KNS): Chairman PHD Chamber Kashmir, Baldev Singh Raina says he is disheartened by the sudden tragic death of Dr Abdul Majid Mir, former Vice- President (KCCI).

Mr Baldev who has joined other trade and Bussiness leaders to extend his sympathies to the KCCI praised the ‘sterling qualities’ of the Vice-president describing him as a great leader who will sorely be missed by trade leaders of J&K.

Dr. Majid's era as a Vice-President of KCCI according to the Raina, will fondly be remembered given his role in fostering KCCI role for socio-economic development.

“Chairman Baldev joins family, friends and associates of the Trade faternity in mourning his departure, assuring that the ideas that Dr Majid postulated, particularly for development in kashmir, will always be remembered.

“The Chairman prays that the almighty God will grant Dr Majid an eternal rest, and comfort all his loved ones”, he added.


Mentor PHDCCI Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya expressed shock and grief at the sudden tragic demise of Dr Abdul Majid Mir, Vice- President of KCCI

In a condolence message, Chaya, described late Majid Sahab as a person who worked for the uplift and welfare of the business community. “He was a renowned social worker and a philanthropist whose works will always be cherished and remembered by all. His demise is not only a loss to the Trade faternity but the Kashmir as a whole,” Chaya’s message read.
Chaya, while conveying his condolences also prayed that the Almighty grant solace and strength to the bereaved family members. He added, that It is only our loss that he had to leave us so early and suddenly, unfortunately for us we can only carry his good memories and strive forward his legacy. The PHDCCI on behalf of the business community of Kashmir extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Dr Majid and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. (KNS)
