Domicile Law Ended Decades Long Discrimination in J&K: Jugal Kishore


Jammu October 13:(KNS) MP Jugal Kishore on Tuesday said that newly introduced Domicile Law has ended the decades-long discrimination with the people of J&K.
While inaugurating the Domicile Certificate camp at Central Basis School here, the Member Parliament said that Domicile law ended the decades long discrimination with the people who have been residing in J&K for years together besides providing a catalyst for the education unemployed youth to apply for various government posts.
According to a statement issued to KNS, Jugal said that Central Government is committed to provide a unique platform for the J&K to excel in different fronts. “People who have been deprived of the citizenships of J&K are brought under the radar with the Domicile law passed by the Union Government. Justice was delivered to the Kins of People who have sacrificed their lives for the welfare of J&K,” Jugal said.
The camp was organized by J&K BJP Vice President, Yudhvir Sethi and former Minister Priya Sethi on the request of the people of Old City. During the camp, Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC; Corporator Anil Masoom Kuldeep Khandari, President BJP District Unit, Jammu; Parveen Kerni, President East Mandal and Masoom were also present.
The Member Parliament also appreciated Yudhvir Sethi and former minister Priya Sehti for organising the camp for the nutshell good of people. He asked them to further hold more such camps for the convenience of the public.
Yudhvir Sethi, in his address, said BJP Government at the Centre is keen to provide best of its calibre to J&K under the patronage of PM Narendra Modi. He said that the camp was organised on the demand of people who have been facing difficulties in attaining the Domicile Certificates and now they are being provided certificates within a couple of days. “BJP has ended the reign of family politics in J&K providing an equal platform for all after more than 70 years,” Yudhvir said.
Sethi also appreciated the role of District Administration Jammu under the stewardship of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha which is providing Domicile Certificate to the people at doorstep. He also complemented the Tehsildar Kamal Preet Singh for his commitment to public service and issuing the Domicile Certificate in a time bound manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Priya Sethi said that hundreds of people of the area were issued Domicile Certificates and more number of people have applied to the same at the camp and they will be issued the Certificates after due processing of documents and other required regulations. She said that more such camps will be held in different areas of Jammu wherein more people will be granted the Domicile right till all the population is covered in.
She added that more than 3000 Domicile certificates will be issued in these three days of Camp.(KNS)
