Kupwara, May 29 (KNS): The District Magistrate(DM) Kupwara today declared Village Kachloo of Tehsil Kralgund as Red Zone, thereby restricting both inward and outward movement of people from the Zone. Besides, surrounding villages of Kachloo have been declared as buffer zones, restrictions have been put on the movement of the inhabitants of these areas, who have been asked not to allow relatives/visitors to visit their homes without written permission of concerned Administrator.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Kralgund has been designated as Administrator for red and buffer zones of Kachloo. The Administrator has been directed to ensure screening of households in the Red Zone and furnish information as per the prescribed format to the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara by 1:00 PM on daily basis. The Administrator shall be assisted by Fayaz Ahmad Parray Lectuer GHSS Zachaldara and Mohd Sultan Rather Lecturer GHSS Sogam and all the officers of the line departments have been directed to ensure the availability of basic facilities including food grains, LPG, medicines etc in the red/buffer zones. They shall promptly respond to medical emergencies and the concerned BMO shall dedicate one ambulance for the Red Zone area.
The concerned SHO have been directed to ensure barricading at all the entry points to the Red Zone to prevent inward and outward movement without valid pass issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and fumigation of Vehicles of other essential services departments allowed to enter for Public service delivery. Two additional surveillance teams have also been deployed to cover all households in the Red Zone through door to door screening in the next four days. A fumigation team shall be engaged by the Administrator to ensure fumigation of the entire area on a regular basis, reads the order issued by DM.
Any per son /group/organization found involved in breach of the order shall be booked under relevant laws , further reads the order. (KNS)
