Director JKEDI releases financial assistance among  45 beneficiaries under various schemes

 

Srinagar January 23:(KNS)   : Director Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), G.M. Dar on Saturday chaired a meeting of officers at the Institute & Pampore campus and released financial benefits of around 100 lakhs among 45 aspiring entrepreneurs and education loan beneficiaries.

The Institute will provide finance under the Term Loan Scheme and education loan scheme of National Minorities Development Finance Corporation (NMDFC) and

Youth Startup Loan scheme of Jammu and Kashmir Government. Waseem Ahad, Incharge, Centre for Startup Finance, presented the cases and apprised the

Director  about various steps undertaken to streamline the disbursal of finance to aspiring entrepreneurs.

The beneficiaries have chosen various business ventures in Manufacturing, Services and Agri-allied sectors under the term loan scheme. The Institute also released benefits favouring students pursuing professional degrees in the different parts of the country and abroad. During the meeting, the Director also discussed the progress made under different self-employment and entrepreneurship development schemes implemented by the Institute. The Director urged all the officers to strengthen their efforts to reach out to the Union Territory's educated youth and stay connected with them to ensure proper handholding and follow-up. He exhorted all concerned officers to continue striving to build a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem and work with enthusiasm.(KNS)
