Srinagar, Sep 21 (KNS): Director Horticulture Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, today visited District Anantnag for monitoring different works.
according to Kashmir News Service, he was accompanied by field officers of the Department. During visit he inspected Departmental fruit plant nursery Ganeshpora where he was briefed about various varieties of walnuts which are being propagated at nursery so that quality plants are produced for distribution amongst the orchardists.
Instructions were given to the nursery staff to work with dedication. Director Horticulture also visited various orchards in District Anantnag and directed the field officers to maintain a close liaison with the growers (orchardists) so that they get the timely technical knowhow about orchard management and get benefitted from the Departmental schemes. Instructions were given to all the staff of the Department to remain available for orchardists of their respective areas. (KNS)
