Dir Horticulture Kashmir, Distributed Certificates to the Trainees who Completed training course in Fruit Preservation Techniques

Srinagar 30 December (KNS): Director Horticulture Kashmir, Sh. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat-KAS today distributed certificates to the Trainees who have completed one training course in Fruit Preservation Techniques at Food & Vegetable Craft Centre, Lal Mandi, Srinagar.

In a statement isued to KNS, The training course was attended by 40 candidates who have successfully completed the course in Fruit & Vegetable Craft Preservation Techniques. On this occasion, Director Horticulture in presence of Chief Canning Instructor, Kashmir addressed the participant trainees and gave introduction of centrally sponsored schemes for establishment of Fruit & Vegetable Preservation units. Besides this, Director Horticulture gave the introduction of Prime Ministers Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme which is being implemented under “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”.

The Department of Horticulture is conducting short term training programmes for the development of Post-Harvest and Value Addition of Fruit & Vegetables enterprise at Micro level.

Lateron, Director Horticulture chaired a send off meeting which was organized for the farewell of Mr. Imtiyaz Ahmad, Section Officer Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir. He applauded his contribution in the organization was all praised for his matriculations working with honesty, zeal, enthusiasm and with full dedication. The official has rendered more than 30 years of his precious life time in the meritorious service at various capacities in the Department(KNS).
