Srinagar 14 january (KNS): Sh. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, KAS Director Horticulture Kashmir/Mission Director, MIDH-J&K attended a meeting with Joint Secretary MIDH, Mr. Rajbir Singh to discuss various developmental activities of J&K under Central Sponsored Schemes like MIDH & PMDP.

In a statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service(KNS, )In the meeting, Mr. R.P. Meena, Dy. Commissioner (Horti.), MIDH and M.K Mishra, Dy. Secretary (Horti.), MIDH were also present. During the course of discussion, Mission Director-MIDH, J&K requested to release funds to clear liabilities under Saffron Mission and also for successful implementation of MIDH Action Plan.

Besides deliberations were also held on Cold Storage projects pending with GoI and Joint Secretary, MIDH was requested for early sanction of these projects for so that work is completed well in time and assistance is released. Joint Secretary MIDH assured to release funds under General category MIDH shortly. He assured all support under CSS to Horticulture sector of J&K. He informed that he will shortly review the progress of Centre of Excellence Zawoora, Khanmoh & Saffron Mission and advised for early expenditure.(KNS)
