Despite repeated pleas, Authorities fail to construct bridge over Brengi Ballah in Dabrunga Ang

Anantnag, Jan 28 (KNS): Residents of Dabruna Anantnag are up in arms against the authorities for failing to construct a vital bridge over Brengi Nallah despite pleading for its construction with authorities over many years.

Residents said  department of Roads and Buildings and  Rural Development Department in Anantnag officials despite visiting the site on Brengi Nallah and reflecting the same problem  in yearly plans these departments failed to construct bridge on the Nallah.
" We are now feeling dejected and hopeless," they told KNS.

Revealing the ordeal Taja Begum (90) said, " I don't know why my coffin will be taken to other part of Nallah as their is no bridge," 

She said time and again Executive Engineer R&B Anantnag and ACD Anantnag were apprised by them about the problem however it yielded no results. 
"Both the officers promised to villagers that their problems will be solved but it seems both these officers have played with the sentiments of villagers," she rued.

Students, elderly people, traders everyone has to suffer everyday, residents told KNS.

"In this chilly winter things have become more difficult for the villagers because youngsters and elderly people have to take support of others to cross Nallah," they said.

Residents of this village have appealled Deputy commissioner Anantnag to initiate action against these officers and direct them to construct the bridge at earliest.(KNS)
