Srinagar, Sep 30 (KNS): Department of Horticulture Kashmir is organizing a Buyer-Seller meet on the pattern of Sunday Market in the premises of Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir.
According to Kashmir News Service, in order to finalize the arrangements/modalities for organizing the programme, Ajaz Ahmad Baht, KAS Director Horticulture Kashmir convened a meeting of officers of Horticulture Department on 30th September 2020.
He, at the occasion, instructed all the Chief Horticulture Officers to mobilize few orchardists from their respective Districts for bringing their produce in the Buyer-Seller meet. The number of orchardists shall be increased during subsequent meet. Horticulture Information and Publication Officer was also directed to make all the required arrangements for erection of stalls etc and also give wide publicity to the event to be organized shortly. Director Horticulture informed that Buyer-Seller meet shall open opportunity for the farmers to directly sell their produce avoiding.
All SoPs issued by the Government from time to time for containing COVID-19 spread shall be followed strictly.(KNS)
