Kathua Augsut 14:(KNS) Forest Department Kathua in collaboration with district administration today organized a plantation drive, here.

District Development Commissioner Kathua, O.P. Bhagat planted the saplings at Patwar Khana complex near Mini Sect., District Information Office complex, Chief Animal Husbandry Office complex, Sheep Husbandry office complex and at village Palli . The saplings of ornamental plants, fruit plants and shady plants were planted during the plantation drive.

The DDC asked the forest department to conduct more such plantation drives in other tehsils of the Kathua district, involving the panchayats.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Devinder Paul; DFO Rahul Singh; Tehsildar, Gourav Sharma; Range Officer, Suresh Kumar and officials of Forest Department were present on the occasion.(KNS)
