Shopian: Oct, 09 (KNS): District Development Commissioner Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin today flagged off a group of 30 students for trekking here at Mini Secretariat Arhama Shopian.
The student trekkers from various schools of the district left for Pahalgam commencing with effect from 09th of Oct 2020 to 14th of Oct, 2020 to participate in the camp organised by Youth Services and Sports Shopian.
While interacting with the students, the DDC urged them to take advantage of the trip and strictly follow all the instructions of the trainers.
He advised the student group to imbibe the qualities of leadership and initiative in life and asked them to go through the history of world famous tourist resort Pahalgam and other adjoining adventurous places.
He also urged them to keep the environment neat and clean and desist from throwing polythene and other things that pollutes the environment.
The DDC directed the organisers to provide enough sanitizers and other medicines to the trekkers during the camp.
District Youth Service & Sports Officer Gurmukh Singh, other concerned officers and officials were present on the occasion.(KNS)
