B2v3 Aims To Bring Development Push For Rural Areas

Shopian: Oct, 04 (KNS): The B2V3 programme is in full swing across the district, villages are being visited by commissioner Secretaries down to village level workers and the problems, complaints and needs of the general public are heard by the government functionaries in an effort to provide best possible amenities to the rural people and to better their living standards. One of the aim is of the programme is that people should be made aware of the government schemes so that they will be able to avail the benefits of these schemes.
The District Development commissioner Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin along with Visiting Officer, Farooq Ahmad Geelani, Chief conservator Forests today visited village Chotipora Shopian to listen to the demands and issues raised by the people of the area.
While addressing the gathering, the DDC said that the aim of B2V3 programme is to uplift the socio-economic condition of rural inhabitants. He said that B2V3 programme invites innovative ideas and suggestions from all stakeholders and asked the officers to play them to provide best services to the people. He directed the officers to fully utilise various communication tools to spread massive awareness about the programme so that it can reach the maximum population. Real time feedback should be recorded by visiting officers regarding reach of various government services, status of 100 percent saturation of different beneficiary oriented schemes. He said that special focus should be laid on coverage of beneficiaries under different scholarship schemes, works under MG- NREGA etc. He also informed that like Jan Abhiyan, B2V3 will also be monitored very closely to assess the ground level situation in the district. He said that 3100 Domicile certificates have been issued in the district sofar.
DDC laid special focus on awareness on covid-19 during B2V3 and strictly emphasized to ensure adherence to all covid-19 related guidelines.
Speaking on the occasion, Visiting Officer, Farooq Ahmad Geelani patiently listened to the demands and issues projected by the common masses of Chotipora Halqa and assured them that every possible help will be taken to redress their grievances and complaints at an earliest. He asked the people to come forward and avail the benefits of all the government sponsored schemes. He also assured them for establishing of a timber depo at Halqa Chotipora to benefit people of the area.
Certificates of various categories including Job cards, Sports Kits etc. were distributed among the deserving beneficiaries of the Halqa.
Later, District Development Commissioner and Chief Conservator planted sapling of chinar, deodar and kairo trees in the premises of Divisional Forest Office Padpawan Shopian.
District officers and officials of various departments, BDOs, Anganwadi workers besides a huge number of people of chotipora halqa participated in this mega function.(KNS)
