DDC B'pora reviews progress of 69 major developmental projects


Bandipora August 11:(KNS) District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Tuesday convened a meeting of concerned engineers to review the pace and progress of 69 ongoing development projects in the district costing Rs 265 Crore.

The meeting was informed that the 69 projects costing Rs 265 Cr are in progress out of which projects worth Rs 46 Cr were taken by R&B, projects worth Rs 105 Cr under CRF, projects worth Rs 45 Cr under NABARD and projects worth Rs 69 Cr are taken up by Housing Board.

The Deputy Commissioner took stock of the progress of these developmental projects and was informed that the projects are at different stages and the work is in progress to complete the same within the set deadlines.

DC Bandipora stressed upon the executing agencies to ensure completion of the projects at an earliest, so that these could be dedicated to the public at earliest.

He said the projects under execution are of great public importance including District Hospital and several other major road projects and by commissioning these projects, Bandipora district will witness a sea change in the development profile

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad besides Officers from R&B Department, Housing Board, JK Police Housing Corporation and JKPCC.(KNS)
