DC Rajouri launches 'Awaz-e Rajouri' mobile app

Rajori August 07:(KNS) In a step to further improve the public Grievances redressal mechanism in the district and to make the district administration citizen centric, responsive, transparent and accountable, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammmad Nazir Sheikh today on Friday launched a mobile app “Awaz-e Rajouri in presence of the district Officers and media persons.The app has been developed by a team of National Informatics Centre Rajouri.

Chief Planning Officer Shama-Un Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh, CEO Tourism Vivek Puri, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohd Ashraf,District Statistical and Evaluation Officer Bilal Rashid Mir, Assistant Commissioner Development Sushil Khajuria, District Panchayat Officer Dr.Abdul Khabir, Chief Medical Officer Dr.Sunil Sharma, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr.Joginder Kumar Gupta, Chief Education Officer Gulzar Hussain, Divisional Forest Officer Rajouri Sanjay Gupta, District Informatics Officer Muzaffar Mir, Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri, Mohd Zubair, Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri Mushtaq Ahmed, Executive Engineer PMGSY Budhal Abdul Gani, Executive Engineer I&FC Rajouri Sageer Malik, District Agriculture Officer Randheer Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ashok Gandotra, Assistant Labour Commissioner Angrez Singh, Assistant Director FCS & CA Mukhtar Ahmed Lone, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Inzar Rana and other district officers were present during the launching ceremony.

While speaking during the launching event the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri said, “the district administration Rajouri is making all efforts to redress the Grievances of the citizens in an efficient manner; and this launch of the mobile app would give an impetus in achieving a better public grievances mechanism.He added that the use of this mobile app by the general public would make the officers and officials more accountable towards people’s complaints and would instil confidence among the people in the district administration.

He also said that the app would help the citizens to register their grievances online and also can track the status of the Grievances.The app is available for android users free of cost.

As far as procedure is concerned,the Deputy Commissioner said that when a citizen lodges a grievance,the nodal officer will receive a message and after scrutiny,the complaint will be forwarded to the concerned department for the resolution.He further briefed that the resolution is time bound.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that today's initiative of launching this mobile app is just one more move in the direction of ensuring transparency and accountability on the part of the district administration and assured that the district administration Rajouri shall continue to take such steps in future to mitigate the sufferings of the general public.(KNS)
