Baramulla, September 30:(KNS) At the conclusion of ambitious “Jan Abhiyan” campaign that has been launched by J&K government preceding the upcoming Back to Village-3, 3rd Block Divas was today launched Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo holds a day long  Jan Sunwai (public darbar) in Narvaw block of the district which witnessed the overwhelming participation of different stakeholders which include various District officers,BDC chairperson, PRIs among other citizens from the adjoining areas.

On the occasion, the concerned stakeholders highlighted various grievances and demands meant for the overall welfare of the area.The demands which were raised at the event include up gradation of infrastructure in PHE, PDD, health and education sectors, macadimization of roads, development of sports infras and other demands. The people also expressed their gratitude of the district administration for conducting the reach out programme in the area.

Meanwhile, DC gave a patient hearing of all the demands and grievances and assured that all their issues shall be taken with the concerned authorities. He also issued on spot directions to some officers to redress some of these grievances in a time bound manner. DC also highlighted the objectives of Jan Abhiyan and said that the initiative aimed at improving the public service delivery besides extending governance at the peoples doorsteps.

Dr Itoo also distributes cheques worth Rs 45 lakh as financial assistance among the registered labours of Narvaw block. He also distributes several certificates,farming equipments,LPG chullas and other vital equipments among the identified beneficiaries.(KNS)
