Baramulla, May 04 (KNS): The Indoor Sports Stadium Baramulla near Degree College Baramulla has been converted into a fully equipped wellness center to treat COVID-19 patients, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo announced today. 

Dr G N Itoo said that the centre with capacity of 100 beds has all the requisite facilities and all the COVID-19 patients have been shifted from GMC Baramulla thereby making Baramulla the first district to completely segregate COVID-19 patients and care. 

He further said that the move was taken keeping in view the convenience of general patients as there is a restriction of sorts in shifting out patients already receiving treatment for other conditions and since Indoor Stadium is a new building and has a lot of space, we decided to commandeer it for this specific purpose. He also added that administration do not want inconvenience to patients and medical staff of any level, which is why we looked at the Indoor Stadium.(KNS)
