CUK’s SoE holds painting competition


Ganderbal, Dec 28:(KNS) School of Education (SoE), Central University of Kashmir (CUK) has established 14 free winter coaching camps across the Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with several educational institutions wherein the students of B.Ed 3rd semester students of the varsity are providing free education to the students of 6th to 10 standard.

These camps are providing free coaching, guidance and counselling, mentoring and are also conducting co-curricular activities. One such camps established in collaboration with Iqbal Public High School Soura organised a painting competition among the 6th ,7th and 8th class students.

Dean and Head School of Education, Dr. Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, and some other teacher educators and research scholars supervised the competition. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were bagged by Arbina from 8th class Seema from 6th class and Sabahat from 7th class respectively. The competition was organised by the pupil teachers under the leadership of Ms Barkat Handoo. Dr. Syed Zahoor Ahmed Geelani also interacted with the students and emphasized the importance of hard work, enthusiasm, dignity, prosperity and time value. He praised the participants and B.Ed. Trainees for their dedication and motivation. (KNS)
