Jammu, July 02:(KNS) Continuing with its fight against COVID19, We The Human Forum for Nature and Mankind, today, distributed 50 COVID19 Hygiene kits among elders living at Old Aged Home Ambphalla Jammu.
Founder members of the trust S. Prem Singh Chief Spokesperson, Om Prakash Verma Octogenarian the founder member of the trust, S Ajab Singh & Sukhdev Singh, both Executive Members, Vishvajeet and Manager of the Old Aged Home Pritam Kumar were prominent among those present on the occasion.
Om Prakash Verma, himself an Octogenarian, drew focus upon need for washing hands regularly with soap, using Sanitiser in emergency and wear clothes facemasks after washing these daily with detergent soap. The elders are more prone to COVID19 virus transmission and they need to take maximum preventive measures.
S. Prem Singh Spokesperson, a Septuagenarian, apprised the elders present at Old Aged Home about need for maintaining personal especially hands hygine. The trust has distributed more than 125 qtl ration to 1500 families during lockdown and about seven hundred COVID-19 Hygiene kits among people who are not in a position to buy these essentials items viz., Sanitiser, disinfecting soaps, detergent soaps and reusable facemasks from the market so often due to meagre source of income. Especially, the elders living in Old Aged Homes need these things more importantly.
Ajab Singh made an appeal to the concerned authorities to check exorbitant rates of reusable clothes facemasks being charged by few shopkeepers in Jammu city, to make easy money; Because, nowadays the facemasks especially reusable clothes facemasks have become an essential item and needs to be purchased by both rich as well as poor people. The trust has already distributed more than four thousand masks and intend to further distribute five thousand reusable clothes facemasks in near future.(KNS)
